Why Church Campaign

“As the Father has sent me, so I send you…”  John 20:21

Isn’t that the mystery of life–why are we here?  Jesus says we are here, you are there, I am here because Jesus sent us here.  Sounds good, but why did He do that?

In some ways, we as individuals seek to learn this one small step of faith at a time.

Collectively, we believe that God has sent 938 Church here, now, for the good of our community.

In 2024, we want to deepen our Compassion for our Community.  It will take time, but we must connect deeply to the people around us to realize our mission of helping people find their way back to God.

  • To build community where there is isolation and division

  • To strengthen faith where there is loss and loss of hope

  • To extend compassion where there is damage, fear, and shame

With our End of Year Giving campaign, we want to move forward in two ways:

We want to go WIDE.

We invite all who call 938 Church their spiritual home to commit to a regular monthly gift.  Some can give a lot, and others can give a little, but the goal here is for each of us to contribute to our ministry because God blesses the faith behind the gift, not the number value of the gift.

You can partner with us, going wide by updating or starting a recurring gift to our general fund by clicking here.

We want to go FORWARD.

Our most significant hindrance to connecting to our community is our relative invisibility. Without a building, people can only learn about us through relationships.  We want to connect to people where they are and allow our name and values to stir up hope that our church can be different than the one someone might have given up on.

You can move us forward with a one-time EOY gift to contribute to the following opportunities.

Click here to contribute to our Why Church Fund.

  • Send a postcard to 7000 homes $3000

  • Put up a banner in West Chester $1000

Care Fund Opportunities.

It is good to be together, and as we take on the privilege of sharing in the service of the Lord’s people (2 Cor 8:4), we are greater than the sum of our parts in our service to God and our Compassion for our Community.

With great anticipation,

Pastor Marc
